North Carolina Will Remain "Paused" in Phase 3 for Three More Weeks

North Carolina Governor North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper announced that the state will remain "paused" in Phase 3 of COVID-19 reopening restrictions. This comes after the state reported 1,842 new cases, along with a positivity rate of 7.4%.

The Phase 3 order was supposed to end this Friday, October 23rd, but is now extended until at least Friday, November 13th. Bars, theaters and entertainment venues are open at a reduced capacity during this phase.

As of Wednesday, there are a little more than 1,200 people hospitalized in North Carolina due to COVID-19 complications.
