The Halal Guys Eye Aurora For First Colorado Location

The metro Denver area could be getting another popular restaurant chain in the area soon.

The Halal Guys are planning on adding Colorado to their fast-growing list of locations, according to a report from Westword.

The restaurant chain is looking at Aurora to be the home of their first Colorado location thanks to franchise owners and Colorado natives Kevin Than and Chris Bui.

"Denver has, for the last fifteen to twenty years, been a hotbed of creativity and innovation in the fast-casual restaurant segment," said Halal Guys CEO Ahmed Abouelenein. "It’s a city that we have long recognized as a sophisticated, vibrant place; we just hadn’t found the right partners to make it a reality. Kevin and Chris, being lifelong residents, proved to be the perfect partners to bring the Halal Guys to Denver."

Westword says Than and Bui plan on opening the location at East Alameda Avenue and South Sable Boulevard in Aurora by this spring or early summer.

The restaurant will be housed at the new Parkside apartment development. Soon, 250 apartments and retail spaces, including Halal Guys, will be open to the public.

The two also plan on bringing more Halal Guys restaurants to Colorado Springs and Boulder in the future.
