The adorable moment was documented in Eilish’s new film, Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry, which premiered last Friday (February 26). At one point during the intimate movie, the “Bad Guy” singer recalls meeting the “Sorry” crooner in real life at her first 2019 Coachella show, replaying her adorable reaction.
Seventeen years old at the time, Eilish totally freaked out and couldn’t stop blushing after Bieber invited her in for a hug, to which she reacted by tearfully clinging onto her kid idol in the cutest moment ever.
While fans saw JB and Eilish’s sweet hug on social media at the time, what they didn’t see was the surprise text message she received from Bieber after the concert.
The documentary captured an emotional and tearful Eilish reading Bieber’s message as her voice begins to quiver.
According to reports, Bieber's text to Eilish reads:
“It’s moments like tonight where I’m reminded what I mean to people. Your love for me touched my heart. You are so special, not for what you can do, but for who you are. Remember that. I am so impressed by your aura and presence. You carry a heavy calling. You are an idol to so many. I’m excited to watch you flourish. You are beyond special. Thank you for tonight. It meant just as much to me as it meant to you. I also want to let you know that it feels like yesterday I was 15 singing 'One Time,' and now I’m 25, and that was 10 years ago. It flew by like a flash. Enjoy every minute of what you are experiencing. Embrace it all, believe you are great, but not greater than anyone.”
ICYMI: Bieber also reappeared in the film to congratulate Eilish on her historic winning streak at the 2020 Grammys. (Watch below.)
