US Men's Basketball Loses its Olympic 25 Game Win Streak

France shocked the world on Sunday in their first basketball contest against the US Men's basketball team by beating them 83-76.

This ended the US's 25 win streak that they've held since the 2004 Olympics. Before this surprising outcome, the US was dominating the first half of the game, but France stepped in and turned up their performance significantly enough to turn things around, with Fournier leading all scorers with 28 points and Gobert with 14. In the final minute of the game, you can begin to see the US slowly miss 3-pointers shot after shot, while France maintained their momentum to catch up for the win.

Although they lost the first round, it's not completely over for the US Men's Basketball team. They still have a chance to advance to the medal round, but they'll have to win their next two games to do it. Their next contest will be on Wednesday against Iran.
