KFC Is Making Lab-Grown Chicken Nuggets

If all fast food was grown in a lab, would you still eat it?

KFC is teaming up with a 3D bio-printing firm in Russia to grow their chicken nuggets in a lab, and they're hoping to start selling them by this fall. Talk about making something from scratch!

By using chicken cells and plant cells, the meat can be recreated into a lab-grown clone with the same texture and taste as the original. Crazy right? Although most people wouldn't be in a rush to try this lab meat, it does offer solutions to big problems in the food industry, particularly with animal cruelty, methane production, and other health factors that make it an attractive concept to invest in.

Although sounds like something straight out of an 80's sci-fi movie, lab grown meat has been secretly on the rise for some time now, and it could be something to look out for in the near future. Who knows, maybe your kitchen will have its own 3D-food printer one day...
