Hey! I'm Dovy Abarius, your newest DJ on HITS 96.1. It's been awesome going on the air and playing your favorite music, and I'm really excited to kick off my official blog! I thought It would be nice to use my first post to officially introduce myself and give you an idea of who I am.
A little about me:
- I was born in Lithuania and moved to North Carolina with my family when I was little (I just became a citizen last year!)
- I graduated Appalachian State University (Go 'Neers!) with a degree in Broadcasting.
- I moved to Charlotte this summer and have had a blast getting my start in Radio and pursuing Voice Acting on the side!
- I have an adopted cat named Murph, and I think she was born with a dog's brain. She learns tricks, chases her tail, and plays fetch - no joke.
- Some Hobbies: Playing the drums, playing the guitar, going hiking, watching movies, traveling, having a board-game night with my friends.
- Favorite Music: Pop, Alternative Rock, Hip-Hop, Blues and Country.
- Favorite Movies: Back to the Future, Superbad, the MCU, and just about every Tarantino film.
- Favorite TV Show: Game of Thrones - Everything but the last season... I just pretend like it never happened.
- Favorite Food: Breakfast - Waffle House is my church.
