Steven Weigel serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Wild Wing Cafe. Prior to joining WWC he was the Chief Executive Officer of Cerca Trova Restaurant Concepts, the largest global franchisee of Outback Steakhouse, a Bloomin’ Brands concept. Steve successfully managed in excess of 100 Outback Steakhouses operating in five states and 7,000 employees, with sales in excess of $375,000,000 annually.
During his time at Cerca Trova, Steve led the development of new prototype restaurant designs, ultimately engineering the next generation of Outback Steakhouses for the Southwest and West Coast markets. Prior to joining Cerca Trova, Steve served as Chief Operating Officer of Friendly’s Ice Cream Corporation, an operator and franchisor of 300+ restaurants primarily on the Eastern seaboard. At Friendly’s, Steve stabilized and improved operations and franchise relationships that drove significant improvements in overall financial performance. Prior to joining Friendly’s, Steve had served as COO for Tom’s Urban and Smashburger. With Tom’s Urban, Steve oversaw the development and opening of numerous high-volume, high-profile locations. Steve began his career with Red Lobster, where he spent 23 years rising to Senior Vice President and was responsible for overseeing 320 restaurants.
