Disney recently confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that they'll be moving forward with their partial reopen on Saturday (July 11th) despite rising coronavirus cases in the state of Florida.
Governor Ron DeSantis defended the resort on Monday, explaining that the company has put a "premium on safety".
As of Tuesday morning, the state of Florida reported 206k confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 3,778 deaths.
Disney's Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom will be the first parks to move forward with reopening this Saturday, followed by Epcot and Hollywood Studios on July 15th. The Disney Springs shopping district has already been open for about a month and a half.
