Game Of Thrones Filming Locations To Open As Tourist Attractions In Ireland

Time to book a flight to Ireland! According to a new report, we'll be able to travel to the exact locations that Jon Snow and Cersei Lannister once walked for vacay.

As the popular series comes to an end, Game of Thrones filming locations in Northern Ireland are about to get a little more busy.

Variety writes, "HBO announced plans to convert several β€œGame of Thrones” filming locations in Northern Ireland into tourist attractions."

"The premium programmer is considering including the standing sets for iconic locations from the show such as Winterfell (pictured below), Castle Black and Kings Landing alongside a formal studio tour of Linen Mill Studios, which will showcase material from the series spanning all seasons and settings."

How cool would that be?!

The last season of GoT is scheduled to air early 2019. This is around the same time that HBO is planning on opening the tourist attractions after a few practice runs.

The planned Game of Thrones Legacy attractions in Northern Ireland will be β€œon a scale and scope bigger than anything the public has ever seen,” HBO said.

Costumes, props, set decorations, and more included.

Would you plan a trip to Ireland for it?
