Starbucks is reportedly working on a new Frappuccino recipe that'll cut its sugar content by 25%! Which is amazing news for anyone who loves a good Frapp, but doesn't want to completely ruin their diet.
The coffee chain is currently testing the new Frappuccinos in 600 stores in California, Missouri and Rhode Island, the company told CBS MoneyWatch.
It's no secret that a Frappuccino is packed with sugar as one of Starbucks' unhealthiest drinks. Health experts have noted their high sugar content, with nutritionists pointing out that some Frappuccinos have more sugar than candy bars.
Customers in the test markets can order a 16 ounce caramel Frappuccino with 50 fewer calories and 18 fewer grams of sugar than the original.
These new healthier drinks have 49 grams of sugar, while the original contained 67 grams.
A 1.5 ounce Snickers bar contains 20 grams of sugar.
