Cause Of Death For Puppy Who Died After Being Stowed On Flight Revealed

Kokito's official cause of death has been released.

The French Bulldog puppy lost his life after being stowed in a bag in the overhead bin of a United Airlines plane earlier this year.

An autopsy done at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York revealed that it was indeed suffocation that caused the puppy's death.

A necropsy report also found that stress and the pet’s narrow airway were additional factors in Kokito’s death, according to TMZ.

The dog belonged to Catalina Robledo and her 11-year-old daughter and 2-month-old son. The family brought Kokito with them on the flight on March 12th of this year and stowed the puppy underneath the seat in front of them, but were reportedly told by a flight attendant to put the dog in the overhead bin. Robledo eventually followed the attendant's directions after some resistance.

When the flight landed, they discovered that the dog was not breathing.
