Okay. So it’s the middle of the afternoon. You had lunch a few hours ago, and dinner is still a few hours away. But your hungry and you need something to tide you over under dinner actually arrives. So, what do you do?
Well the Food Network listed five snacks that were designed to fill you up until your next meal. These are healthy snacks, so don’t expect to find a chocolate sundae in this list! Anyway, here they are:
1. Peanut butter and whole wheat crackers. Use 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and 5 whole grain wheat crackers.
2. 1 cup of vegetable soup.
3. Low fat cottage cheese and fruit. Half cup of low fat cottage cheese and 1 medium piece of fresh fruit.
4. Hummus and sliced veggies. 3 tablespoons of plain hummus and 1 cup of sliced veggies.
5. Trail mix. 15 nuts (any kind) and 2 tablespoons of dried fruit.
Try any of these for a snack and you should be good till your next meal! Enjoy!
