Mailman In Wisconsin Has To Deal With One "Wild" Individual Every Day!

A mail carrier in Wisconsin is being targeted by a “wild” inhabitant on his delivery route. For a month now, Jeff Byrne, a postal carrier for twenty years, has been chased everyday by a wild turkey who, for some reason, does not appreciate him trying to deliver his mail.

The territorial turkey usually greets Byrne near the same street in the town of Waukesha every day and chases after his mail truck. The turkey is usually with some female turkeys. According to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, male turkeys can get territorial and aggressive during mating season, or he may just not like the trucks bright lights! Interesting.

Byrne isn’t sure why the turkey is targeting him but he is considering getting an air horn to scare the turkey away. I’ve heard of postal carriers having trouble with dogs but the turkey thing is new to me!
