The Annual List Of Banished Words From The Queen's English For 2019

The folks at Lake Superior State University have come me up with their 44th Annual List of Banished Words. These are words that are “banished from the Queen’s English for misuse, overuse, or general uselessness.” Among the world that were banished were:

•in the books

•wrap my head around (This is a good one! Physically impossible to do!)

•platform

•collusion

•ghosting

•yeet (No clue what this means!)

•optics

•thought leader

•most important election of our time (Doesn’t it seem like they all are now?)

This is just a sample of the words that have been chosen. For a complete list and reasons why the word was chosen, visit https://www.lssu.edu/banished-words-list/
