Good news for foodies in North Carolina. You don't have to travel too far for a truly incredible meal as some of the best restaurants in the entire country are right here in the Tar Heel State.
According to a list of the "Top 100 Restaurants" for 2025 compiled by Yelp, three restaurants in North Carolina are considered a must-visit for anyone searching for a memorable dining experience with delicious bites, including one High Point eatery that found a spot in the Top 15:
Odeh's Mediterranean Kitchen ranked highest, coming in at No. 13 overall, thanks to its mouthwatering Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. Freeman's Grub & Pub in Greensboro and Nick's Old Fashioned Hamburger House in Lexington also represented North Carolina on the list, ranking No. 35 and No. 60, respectively.
Here's what Yelp had to say about determining which restaurants made the list:
"To determine Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in 2025, Yelp's data science team starts by using the date generated from our community submissions. We considered both the rating and the volume of the reviews, while accounting for the overall restaurant activity in each business's area. From the candidate restaurants, we narrowed the list down with the expertise of our community managers and Trend Expert to curate a list as quirky, interesting, and unique as the Yelp community itself."
