The nominations for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards have finally been revealed. The MTV VMAs are returning September 10 and fans will be able to tune in to see which of their favorite artists will win big and take home an iconic moonman trophy.
Leading the list of nominees is Taylor Swift, who earned 10 nods including Artist of the Year and Video of the Year for her collaboration with Post Malone "Fortnight," per Variety. Post is also at the top of the pack, largely in part to his collab with Swift, but he also received a nomination for his song "I Had Some Help," his collaboration with country star Morgan Wallen. Other artists with the most nominations include Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter and Eminem, with six each, shortly followed by SZA and Megan Thee Stallion, who each received five nominations.
It's also a big year for first-time nominees as 29 artists have received their first-ever VMA nomination, including Wallen, Jelly Roll, Chappell Roan, Gracie Abrams and Benson Boone, to name a few.
The 2024 MTV VMAs will air live at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Tuesday, September 10, from UBS Arena in New York. The host for this year's awards show has not been announced. Fan voting on 15 categories is open through August 30, with voting for best new artist available through September 10, at vote.mtv.com.
