If you're a self-described foodie, you likely enjoy searching out and trying new restaurants to sample the best of what a city has to offer. And you're not alone!

LoveFood compiled a list of the best foodie city in each state, searching around America's "sprawling metropolises filled with Michelin-starred establishments [and] surprising small cities whose restaurants champion regional ingredients" to give food connoisseurs the best shot at finding incredible dining experiences.

According to the list, the best foodie city in all of North Carolina is Asheville, which not only has a "stellar" reputation as a craft brewery haven but also has some pretty tasty food options that will definitely impress any foodie. Here's what LoveFood had to say about North Carolina's best foodie city:

"North Carolina's Asheville is rightly celebrated for its stellar craft beer scene. Top spots include Highland Brewing Company and Hi-Wire Brewing — and all those brews pair exceedingly well with the creative dishes served up at the city's many fantastic restaurants. Don't miss Rhubarb, a special-occasion spot that focuses on modern Appalachian cuisine (think cornbread with bourbon-bacon jam, and North Carolina oysters with country ham). Other highlights include the Indian street food at Chai Pani, and the locally sourced Italian plats at Cucina 24."
