It still surprises me sometimes that people can be so hateful.

Billie Eilish has called for fans to "normalize real bodies" after a paparazzi photo of her leaving home in a brown tank top went viral on social media. She was promptly body-shamed by many online. The trolls were louder than ever.

Comments like this are never acceptable.

Eilish seemingly responded to the haters by reposting a video from influencer Chizi Duru about body image. "Y'all gotta start normalizing real bodies," Duru says in the clip, adding, "Not everyone has a wagon behind them. Guts are normal. Boobs sag, especially after breastfeeding. Instagram isn't real."

This is not the first time Eilish has addressed the body-shaming comments often directed her way. At her show earlier this year in Miami (before COVID-19 forced her to cancel the rest of her Where Do We Go? World Tour) there was a section of her show dedicated to this message. The 18-year-old played a video taking off her shirt revealing a tank top underneath, saying "So while I feel your stares, your disapproval or your sigh of relief, if I lived by them, I’d never be able to move."

I was at that show and it was such an amazing moment.
