Hosted by Jane Lynch and Today's Craig Melvin, the upcoming two-hour affair will be broadcast live from New York City with musical sets from Black Eyed Peas, The Killers, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley and National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman. Fireworks will make their usual appearances, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's affair will look different as the fiery spectacles are being pre-recorded and "reimagined as a series of neighborhood shows" through the city's five boroughs: Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn and Staten Island.
Beginning June 29 and culminating on July 4, fireworks will appear at both undisclosed land and water-based locations leading up to a live spectacle on Independence Day. Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular is set to air Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
