According to new reports, One Direction will be getting back together for a tv special sometime soon in celebration of the band's 10th anniversary! Liam Payne has been the one dropping all the clues and finally confirmed the reunion on Sunday (April 19).
Liam went on IG live with Swedish DJ Alesso to talk about new music, but of course fans were begging to know about the 1D reunion.
If it weren't enough that all 5 of the band's albums are finally available on Apple Music plus the 1D website has been reactivated for the first time since 2016, Liam goes on to explain that he got in trouble for "revealing too much".
"Oh my god dude... there's so many One Direction questions,"Alesso told Liam during their Instagram Live. "But I feel like I don't want to put you on the spot because I know you can't say too much."
"Louis told me off for revealing a bit of our plans the other day, so you're going to have the group chat telling me off."
"Oooh, wow, the whole world is about explode," Alesso replied.
"You can come in and fill in for Zayn and join the band," Liam then replied.
Liam also said that he and Niall Horan have been FaceTiming recently.
Basically, something's happening. We don't know what it is yet, but it is.
Simon Cowell and James Corden are now reportedly vying for rights to the TV special, according to The Mirror U.K. Cowell wants to host the comeback on Britain's Got Talent where it all began for the boys, but Corden has been trying to talk the guys into coming back together for years now. Reports are also saying Harry Styles has been trying to talk the boys into going to Corden ever since the idea came about.
Yikes. It might get messy all over again...
