Drake, J. Cole & The Weeknd FaceTimed An 11-Year-Old Fan Before He Died

Drake, J. Cole and The Weeknd showed their generosity when the three chart-toppers FaceTimed a terminally ill 11-year-boy shortly before he passed away.

As per PEOPLE, the hip-hop titans each called the young boy named Elijah to make his final days just a tad better. On Sunday (March 29), Virginia man Michael Watson II took to Instagram to announce that his cousin had passed away after a three-year-long battle against cancer. “Over the past 3 years, my 11 y.o. cousin, Elijah, has battled cancer with the utmost resilience," Watson wrote in the caption. "Elijah's physical fight is now complete, as he transitioned to heaven on Friday. He didn’t leave this world without knowing how much he was loved though,” he added. "Last weekend, Elijah got to 'meet' 3 of his favourite artists — The Weeknd, J. Cole & Drake. Incredibly grateful for these 3 super-humans being so caring for my family during this time.”

In one clip from the post, viewers can see Abel talking to Elijah. "I'm so honored to be on of your favorite artists. I love you, buddy,” the singer tells the young boy.

Biz 3 Publicity owner Kathyrn Frazier and Krystal Miles, executive assistant director of Anderson .Paak's .Paak House, reportedly organized the virtual meet-and-greets and it was those acts of kindness that made him feel loved during his final days. Meanwhile, Elijah's mother, Kiara Swope, praised the aforementioned stars, as well as NASCAR driver Joey Logano, for "showing [her] baby some love these last difficult days of his life" in her own social media post.
