Kate Middleton And Prince William Just Had A Rare Showing Of PDA

Though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are totally comfortable holding hands in public, it's actually quite rare to witness any public displays of affection between Prince William and Kate Middleton. The difference between the couple's behavior is a simple one: William and Kate are preparing to inherit the throne one day, while Meghan and Harry's roles in the monarchy isn't quite as significant. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had a brief (and super cute) slip in their no PDA policy on Tuesday (November 12) and royal watchers couldn't get enough.

William and Kate visited the Troubadour White City Theater in London in honor of Shout's crisis volunteers, who operate the program's 24/7 crisis text service. As they greeted the volunteers outside, royal reporter Rebecca English captured a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment of PDA between the Cambridges.

"A little rub on the back for Kate from William," English captioned her short Twitter video. Just as she describes, William quickly gives Kate's back a soothing little touch before they head inside for their visit.

Despite rumors of a rift between William and Harry, the Duke of Cambridge gave the Sussexes a quick shoutout during his visit to Troubadour White City Theater, as well. "Catherine and I, and I know I speak for Harry and Megan as well, couldn't be more proud of what Shout has accomplished and what you've still to accomplish," he said. "Catherine and I were hearing just outside about how many of you are waking up at 3 a.m. to answer the sort of peak demand."

The Sussexes and Cambridge's reunited in public for the first time this week, as well, as all four royals attended the Remembrance Day service. Though royal watchers didn't get to see them interact much, hopefully it was nice for them all to catch up.
