Princess Charlotte Has The Most Unexpected Nickname At School

Princess Charlotte's First Day Of School

Princess Charlotte had her first day of school at Thomas's Battersea London last week, following in her older brother Prince George's footsteps. Charlotte and George arrived together for the first day, looking adorable in their matching uniforms. The royal siblings were also accompanied by their parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William. While Charlotte appeared a little shy at first, the nickname her classmates reportedly call her suggests she's anything but timid.

Kate has known to adorably refer to her daughter Lottie, her classmates have a completely different nickname for the young royal. According to Katie Nicholl for Vanity Fair, Charlotte's friends and teachers at Willcocks preschool called her "warrior princess" because of her fondness for the outdoors, as well as her "feisty and outgoing character." Hopefully, Charlotte will bring that same confidence to her new school.

While Charlotte may be a warrior princess on the playground, she'll officially be known as Charlotte Cambridge at school. Her official title won't be used while she's a student at Thomas's Battersea London. Prince George also uses Cambridge as his surname while at school. This helps make them feel like all the other kids in their class. “The school downplays the fact that they have royals on their registers," a fellow parent told Nicholls. "George is treated the same as everyone else—the only difference is he has a protection officer with him."

Charlotte may have been a little nervous as she walked up to her new school for the first time, but that didn't last long. Apparently, the little princess has been eager to start school with George for quite some time. “She has been so excited and cannot wait to start school with George,” a family friend revealed. “She feels very grown up and not nervous at all.”
