Chance The Rapper In Dire Need Of Finding A Kidney Donor To Save His Aunt

Chance the Rapper is pleading with fans to help find his aunt a kidney donor.

On Thursday (May 23), the rapper took to Twitter to break the urgent news of his Aunt Toni's dire health condition in hopes of someone answering his family's prayers to save her life. “I really need help. My Auntie Toni is one of the strongest forces in my life, and she is in dire need of a#kidney," Chance tweeted. "We have exhausted all options and have been wait listed for years. My family believes in the power of prayer and we give this problem up to God."

Chance added that, "A prayer really goes a long way," and indeed it did, as fans replied with personal prayers of their own as well as others asking the 26-year-old to provide his aunt's blood type.

"I’m sorry it was a lil overwhelmingly emotion writing this, Her blood type is O positive, you can get a quick blood test and physical to find your a match," the emcee responded. In an instant, the tweet was met with an outpouring of supportive tweets, from followers and willing donors alike.

"God answers prayers man. Sometimes leaving it up to God is the BEST option. Prayers up for Ms. Toni. I shall retweet til my fingers fall off," tweeted one user. "I’m o positive and in Chicago!" one fan offered, with another adding, "I’m o+ and would love to help out."

It's unclear as of yet whether Chance's aunt has found a donor, but the lyricist did leave fans with this hopeful tweet: "I serve a promise keeping God and his timing’s impeccable."

Back in 2017, the "Groceries" star revealed he'd lost his Aunt Kimberly, who he described as a "warrior," to breast cancer.
