Rappel for a Great Cause!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas is excited to host Over The Edge in uptown Charlotte on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Over The Edge is a fundraising event that offers participants (edgers) the opportunity to rappel 17 stories down a local skyscraper. The event will take place at the Hyatt House, 435 East Trade Street, right next to the Spectrum Center.
Event Details
- Edgers must be at least 14 years old and weigh between 100 and 300 lbs.
- In order to participate, edgers need to raise a minimum of $1,200, a symbolic amount representing how much it costs to maintain and support one Big-Little match for one year. We help make that easy and fun by providing you with a personal online fundraising webpage to collect donations from family and friends for the event. If you raise $1,300 or more, your helmet will be fitted with a Go-Pro camera to film your descent.
- If the $1,200 entry fee is not met, the funds are considered a direct donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters with no refunds being provided.
- The event will happen, rain or shine. An alternate date of Sunday, October 15th has been set in case of severe weather involving lightning or high winds. If the event cannot be held on the October 14 or 15 due to severe weather, please note that no refunds will be provided.
