Texts From Prince Harry To Meghan Markle's Dad Revealed

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made headlines once again, this time over some texts sent from Harry to Markle's father, Thomas Markle.

In response to a lawsuit against Associated Papers, the messages were revealed in court and reportedly took place just days before the couple's wedding.

On May 14th, 2018, four days before the royal wedding, Thomas Markle revealed that he would not walk Meghan down the aisle. He did so by alerting the media first instead of relaying the message directly to his daughter.

“Tom, Harry again! Really need to speak to u. U do not need to apologize, we understand the circumstances but ‘going public’ will only make the situation worse,” Harry texted from Meghan’s phone on May 14, per the papers.

Harry tried to warn Thomas that working directly with the press would ultimately "backfire".

“If u love Meg and want to make it right please call me as there are two other options which don’t involve u having to speak to the media, who incidentally created this whole situation,” he wrote. “So please call me so I can explain. Meg and I are not angry, we just need to speak to u. Thanks.”
